Managing DirectorBurton’s career in Asia includes executive roles in advertising, marketing, and brand consulting. A native of Los Angeles, he has called Tokyo, Seoul and Bangkok ‘home’ for the past four decades. His production experience includes brand identity, print advertising, TVC, video, music, radio, events, and interactive media. Prior to establishing Brand Family with Boon Rawd, he led teams at Interbrand Japan, IBM Asia Pacific and Hakuhodo Inc. Burton is an avid cyclist and speaks Japanese fluently.
Creative DirectorTim is the cheerful face of the family. Hailing from Melbourne, Australia he has travelled the world in search of beauty and art. Along the way, he worked with top graphic design firms Cato Design, Interbrand, and Blue Marlin before hanging his hat at Brand Family. His creative repertoire includes corporate branding, packagingdesign, branded environments, animation and naming. In his heart, he maintains a special place for all things Thai — art, culture, religion and food.
Studio ManagerKhun Kae is our Bangkok-born Studio Manager. Her previous jobs prepared her well for Family life. She graduated in food science and technology then leapt into the printing industry where she worked for a couple years. Later, she got deeply involved in brand design during the 14 years she spent at QUO Bangkok as production director. Kae enjoys multitasking and managing complex projects and people. Off hours, you’ll find her at the gym, the park or cycling down the road with friends. Animals like her, especially cats.
Project DirectorKhun Tor, “boy without a dream,” travelled the world in search of knowledge. In Brisbane, he gambled away his tuition and had to earn it back working in an oily Chinese restaurant. He then packed his bags and headed to Leicester University where he received an M.A. in Mass Communication. Back in Bangkok, Tor became an adman — cool clothes, long lunches, and work with major global brands. Boon Rawd called. Today, his natural talent for managing big things makes him an invaluable member of the Family.
DesignerWe call this petite gal with a long name “Gift” — half Thai, half Vietnamese, pure product of Krungthep. Growing up in this crazy city, she spent her free time drawing and painting. Gift has been a product designer, fashion designer, illustrator, new media artist, game animator, and interactive designer — a path which led her straight to Brand Family! Her imagination thrives where art and technology meet, but deep inside, she has always yearned for nature and serenity. When she needs to relax and recharge, Gift jogs, cycles and swims.
Account DirectorKhun Oam was born, raised and educated in Thailand, but it was her international career that caught our attention. After graduating from Thammasat University’s school of business, she joined the Mindshare media agency. Jobs in the beverage and automotive industries let her see the world from the client perspective. In Shanghai, she studied Mandarin, then hooked up with a couple branding agencies — first Interbrand then Cowan/Acorn. Now she’s back in Bangkok raising twins and has adopted Brand Family, too. She loves yoga and scuba diving.
